INTERNSHIPS AT AUDACITY

Each year 10-20 high school interns work with Audacity in various capacities. Some join Audacity for community service requirements at school. Some join for the love of theatre and the fun environment at Audacity. Some join to share the benefits and joy of their craft with young people who don’t usually have these opportunities.

Tailored to You

Because we have so many opportunities, we are happy to work with you (the intern candidate) to tailor programs in order to meet your goals based on your interests and availability. The only question is “how do you want to be of service?”

How to Apply

Applying is easy! Qualified candidates will be asked to fill out a Google Form and we go from there.

Qualification requirements:

  1. You have to be in high school

  2. You have to have a strong desire to work with young people (grades K-8) and share the joy of theatre.

  3. If you do not have an abundance of theatre experience, we can train you and help you acquire experience. You will be required to bring enthusiasm and desire to learn and grow.

  4. You need to provide the names and contact info of two people who will recommend you. Letters of recommendation are preferred. Just let us know if this becomes an issue (you will not be penalized).

  5. You will be required to provide proof of a recent TB test (within the last 3 months of the start date).

To apply you simply need to send an email that includes the following:

  • Why do you want to work with Audacity?

  • Why do you want to work with young people?

  • What do you enjoy learning about in theatre?

  • What do you benefit or experience do you hope to gain while working with Audacity?

Also include:

  • Your availability
